Projecting themselves as a fashion-forward label producing wearables for the contemporary woman, Mahrenholz’s A/W 2013/14 Silverzone collection encapsulates this modern-day super woman with the reinvention of 90s neon synthetics - a key look this year.
With a collective of fluro mesh on metallic PU Nicole has brought her ideas into the 22nd century putting a truly futuramic spin on everyday looks. The eclectic array of shapes and mismatch of fluorescents has given the capsule an outfit for every occasion with the additional sporty edge on bold silhouettes. With the present-day heroin in mind, the collection ranges from a working girl image with a metallic collar dress to a sporty collective of a neon hoodie and a silver iridescent waistcoat.
And, if the clothes are not already an indulgence for fantasy, the lookbook for this year sums up the epitome of the brands Silverzone concept: set with a glacial backdrop the sculptured ice and rocks gives a dramatic contrast to the robotic (almost simoleon-like) models, emphasising the seemingly prehistoric setting against the modernity of the clothes.
With this intrepid innovator of fashion continually surprising us with her exciting designs, SYN looks forward to what the future holds for this contemporary super hero of design that is Mahrenholz.
