Nothing is ever monotonous in the wonderful world of Clara Martin, and her recent collective on showcase at LC:M certainly did not digress. True to form, Clara’s SS15 inspirational attire was truly magnificent, presenting us with a visual playground in which our inner child may relish and cavort in utter delight.
The whole collection was delightfully reminiscent of American Youth culture, with the use of heavy stripes, the bomber jacket and a play on the ‘pom-pom’; a sense of jocks and cheerleaders is playfully injected into the urban SS15 man.
Her statement use of bold colour has been uniquely paired with the brilliantly offbeat inclusion of the knitted short, paired with chunky socks and sandals allowing our imagination to run wild. Toned down breezy shirts hosting peter-pan collars added to the playful feel and dynamic contrast to the bold stripes, whilst the animated pom-pom knitted jumpers brought the whole collection into a whole new dimension of cool.
With the inclusion of a valiant ‘C’ emblazoned throughout the collection, a sense of personality most definitely shines though. To sit blissfully alongside the collection, and mirroring the stand-out embellishment of the bomber jacket, the cherry on top most definitely has to be the ‘C’ back-pack. Fun, colourful and utterly fundamental in completing the youthful feel, the rucksack housed the eye-catching 3D adornment. Clara definitely has her name all over this and SYN cant wait to see what’s going to come next; rooting for another bag of course!
