Pola Thomson breaths a spirited, yet sophisticated, breath of fresh air into contemporary feminine cuts, with her AW14 collection leaving us with an inspiring taste for more and a delightful want to jump headfirst into her sculptural galaxy of wonder.
The Chilean born, now NY based designer bestows upon us modest yet utterly modern, sculpturally perfected fashion. Her feminine and current tailoring paired with themes inspired by 70’s future, astronomy and stellar structure all work in harmony to produce a versatile and dynamic collective.
The teaming of definite lines against flowing layers of folds and gathers contrast brilliantly bringing the collection to life. With key items including statement coats and parkas, out of this world neckpieces and lively asymmetrical skirts, the silhouette and shape are constantly on the move. The colour palate is cool and collected with the presence of fierce red awakening the senses. Camel tones paired with classic black and white ensure this ultra mod collective is flying high and oozing elegance. The addition of airy sky blue brings us back down to earth, whilst the intense red opens up the galaxy, adding a spirited feel to Thomson’s AW14 collection.
